The Immigration Service officer Stephen King Amoah who was delcared missing a few hours ago has been found d, ead.
Amoah was reported missing on Thursday, July 3, 2025, after leaving home to meet a friend over an unpaid debt.
According to his relatives, Stephen received a phone call from a close friend who owed him GH¢200,000 and claimed readiness to repay.
The meeting was scheduled at Ashongman Estates. Before leaving, Stephen informed his wife, but that was the last time he was seen.
Later that night, Stephen’s wife, who was away at the time, received a strange text from his phone claiming he had returned home with the money.
However, she immediately sensed something was wrong—the tone and language were uncharacteristic of her husband.
Alarmed, she asked Stephen’s brother to check their home. Upon arrival, there was no sign of him.
The family filed a police report, prompting a full investigation.
Days later, Stephen's body was found b...urned beyond recognition.
In an exclusive interview, a family member revealed that they were asked to assist the police in identifying a body—and it turned out to be their missing uncle.
The Ghana Police Service is expected to provide further details as investigations continue.
