Diana Hamilton’s “Me Nyankopon Papabi” is a Soulful Tribute to God’s Faithfulness

In a world where music often chases trends, Diana Hamilton remains rooted in purpose. The award-winning gospel artist has just released her latest single, "Me Nyankopon Papabi" (My Good God)—a heartfelt anthem of gratitude that reflects her deep personal journey and the grace that continues to sustain her.

Blending rich contemporary highlife rhythms with modern gospel influences, the song is both refreshing and powerfully spiritual. It’s Hamilton’s third release this year, following He Loves Me and My Praise—but this one, she says, feels especially personal.

“This is a testimony of God’s goodness; a reminder that no matter your background, God can lift you to higher ground,” Diana shared with quiet emotion.

The music video, directed by McWillies of Flashbak Media, was filmed at Diana’s family home in Afful Nkwanta, Kumasi—a meaningful choice that brings the story full circle. Viewers are taken through scenes that echo her humble beginnings, with props and settings that capture the simplicity of her early life. It’s not just a video; it’s a walk through memory lane and a celebration of grace.

The track was produced by long-time collaborator Kaywa, one of Ghana’s most respected music producers. His signature touch has helped shape some of Diana’s biggest hits like Mo Ne Yo, W’asem, and Work In Progress, and their chemistry is evident once again in this soul-stirring new release.

Though trained as a nurse, Diana Hamilton has emerged as one of Ghana’s most beloved gospel voices. From her breakthrough with songs like Eye Woa and Yehowa Behwe, to making history as the first female gospel artiste to win VGMA Artiste of the Year in 2021, her journey has been nothing short of inspiring.

"Me Nyankopon Papabi" isn’t just a song—it’s a declaration of faith, a reflection on growth, and a reminder to never forget where you came from. And for Diana, it’s another step in a ministry rooted in music, testimony, and grace.
